AROMATHERAPY
What is it?
A scent created by a plant to entice pollinators; also used to
fend off predators and discourage microbes. Humans use these
scents for many purposes and to
enhance their physical being. We call this aromatherapy.
FYI: Does your doctor tell you
to lose weight? Does he tell you that certain scents help
control hunger?
Research by a group of doctors
(using 3,193 people in a 15 year study), found
that the smell of green apple, peppermint, and
chocolate has the effect
of deceiving the brain into thinking food was eaten, thus
suppressing the appetite. Smelling one of these scents when
hungry or before a meal is an easy way to curb your caloric
intake.
Want a piece of chocolate-smell
the chocolate the brain says that was tasty.
